     Samuel Roberts was born on 13 April 1800.¹ He was the son of Samuel Roberts and Elizabeth Wright.² He married, firstly, Elizabeth Creswick, daughter of Thomas Creswick, on 7 June 1837.¹ He married, secondly, Sarah Anne Sorby, daughter of Robert Sorby, on 5 January 1841.¹ He died on 29 November 1887 at age 87.¹
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.¹ He lived at Queen’s Tower, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Thomas Creswick lived at East Hill, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Elizabeth Creswick was the daughter of Thomas Creswick.² She married Samuel Roberts, son of Samuel Roberts and Elizabeth Wright, on 7 June 1837.¹ She died in 1838.¹
     From 7 June 1837, her married name became Roberts.

     Arthur Sopwith was born on 21 September 1843 at St. Marys Terrace, Jesmond, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England.² He was the son of Thomas Sopwith and Jane Scott.¹ He married Catherine Susan Shelford, daughter of Reverend William Heard Shelford and Emily Frost Snape, on 16 April 1872 at Hackney, London, England.¹ He died in 1920.¹
     He was a mining engineer.¹

     Shelford Francis Sopwith was born in 1875 at Chasetown, Staffordshire, England.¹ He was the son of Arthur Sopwith and Catherine Susan Shelford.¹

     Sir Samuel Roberts, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 September 1882.¹ He is the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Samuel Roberts, 1st Bt. and Martha Susan Blakeney.² He married Gladys Mary Dring, daughter of William Ernest Dring, on 5 July 1906.¹ He died on 13 December 1955 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)¹ He was a practising solicitor in 1906.¹ He held the office of Lord Mayor of Sheffield between 1919 and 1920.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Hereford between 1921 and 1929.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Roberts, of Ecclesall and Queen’s Tower, City of Sheffield and West Riding of Yorkshire [U.K., 1919] on 19 June 1926.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Ecclesall between 1929 and 1935.¹ He was Master Cutler of Sheffield between 1935 and 1936.¹

     Albert Samuel Roberts was born on 2 October 1885.¹ He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Samuel Roberts, 1st Bt. and Martha Susan Blakeney.² He married May (?)¹ He died on 10 May 1954 at age 68.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery.¹

     May (?) married Albert Samuel Roberts, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Samuel Roberts, 1st Bt. and Martha Susan Blakeney.¹
