(Conservative) for Newcastle Central between 1918 and 1922.¹ He was chairman of Manchester Dry Docks.¹ He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Newcastle and Tynemouth.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northumberland.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Renwick, of Newminster Abbey, Northumberland [U.K.] on 22 June 1921.¹

     Mary Jane Thompson was born circa 1856.² She was the daughter of William John Thompson.³ She married Sir George Renwick, 1st Bt., son of John Nixon Renwick and Mary Smith Forster, in 1877.¹ She died on 23 January 1933.¹
     From 1877, her married name became Renwick.

     Sir John Robert Renwick, 2nd Bt. was born on 13 November 1877.¹ He is the son of Sir George Renwick, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Thompson.² He married Ethel Deuchar, daughter of James Deuchar, in 1902.¹ He died on 20 November 1946 at age 69.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Renwick, of Newminster Abbey, Northumberland [U.K., 1921] on 19 June 1931.¹

     Major William Henry Renwick was born on 5 March 1880.¹ He was the son of Sir George Renwick, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Thompson.² He married Ethel Maud Ratcliffe, daughter of William Ratcliffe, in 1899.¹ He died on 17 March 1961 at age 81.¹

     Ethel Maud Ratcliffe was the daughter of William Ratcliffe.² She married Major William Henry Renwick, son of Sir George Renwick, 1st Bt. and Mary Jane Thompson, in 1899.¹ She died on 11 June 1944.¹
     From 1899, her married name became Renwick.

     Eric Montague Renwick was born in 1904.¹ He is the son of Major William Henry Renwick and Ethel Maud Ratcliffe.² He married Marie (?) in June 1956.¹ He and Marie (?) were divorced in 1960.¹
