     He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in 1914 in the Cameron Highlanders.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1915 and 1919 in the MT, Army Service Corps.¹

     Ethel Maud Irwin was the daughter of John Irwin.¹ She married Henry Robert Hamilton Tollemache, son of Hon. Hamilton James Tollemache and Mabel Hanbury, on 10 October 1912.¹ She died on 12 October 1953.¹
     From 10 October 1912, her married name became Tollemache.

     S/Ldr. Anthony Henry Hamilton Tollemache was born on 3 August 1913.¹ He was the son of Henry Robert Hamilton Tollemache and Ethel Maud Irwin.² He married, firstly, Françoise de Hauteclocque, daughter of Count Jean de Hauteclocque, on 26 July 1947.¹ He and Françoise de Hauteclocque were divorced in 1960.¹ He married, secondly, Cecilia Vernon Mary Cochrane, daughter of Bryce Cochrane.¹ He died on 20 February 1977 at age 63 at Paris, France, following a car crash.¹
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of Canada between 1945 and 1947.¹ He was awarded the George Cross (G.C.)¹

     Count Jean de Hauteclocque was Resident General of Tunisia.¹

     Françoise de Hauteclocque is the daughter of Count Jean de Hauteclocque.² She married S/Ldr. Anthony Henry Hamilton Tollemache, son of Henry Robert Hamilton Tollemache and Ethel Maud Irwin, on 26 July 1947.¹ She and S/Ldr. Anthony Henry Hamilton Tollemache were divorced in 1960.¹
     From 26 July 1947, her married name became Tollemache.

     Richard Lionel Tollemache was born on 9 April 1950.¹ He is the son of S/Ldr. Anthony Henry Hamilton Tollemache and Françoise de Hauteclocque.² He married Caroline Walker, daughter of Captain Edward Maxwell Cunningham Walker, in 1978.¹
     He lived in 2003 at 41 Lochaline Street, London, England.¹

     Captain Edward Maxwell Cunningham Walker was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Caroline Walker is the daughter of Captain Edward Maxwell Cunningham Walker.² She married Richard Lionel Tollemache, son of S/Ldr. Anthony Henry Hamilton Tollemache and Françoise de Hauteclocque, in 1978.¹
     From 1978, her married name became Tollemache.

     Max Philip Anthony Tollemache was born in 1987.¹ He is the son of Richard Lionel Tollemache and Caroline Walker.²
