     Allan Arthur lived at Boreham, Essex, England^G.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹

     Stepehn de Johnston married Margaret Garioch, daughter of Sir Andrew Garioch of Caskieben.¹
     He was secretary to the Earl of Mar.¹ His wife brought him considerable estates in Aberdeenshire.¹ He was called ‘the clerk’ for his learning.¹ He migrated to the North of Scotland due to troubles on his own part of the country.¹ He was living between 1331 and 1371.¹

     Sir Andrew Garioch of Caskieben is the son of Sir James Garioch and Helen of Mar.²

     Margaret Garioch is the daughter of Sir Andrew Garioch of Caskieben.² She married Stepehn de Johnston.¹

     Margaret Ogilvy is the daughter of Sir James Ogilvie of Inchmartin.² She married John Robertson, 5th of Lude, son of Charles Robertson, 4th of Lude and Lillas Lamont.¹
     Her married name became Robertson.

     Beatrix Gardyne of that Ilk was born circa 1495.² She was the daughter of George Gardyne of Gardyne and Banchory.³ She married, secondly, John Robertson, 6th of Lude, son of John Robertson, 5th of Lude and Margaret Ogilvy, circa 1550.¹ She married, firstly, Findla ‘Mor’ Farquharson, 1st of Invercauld, son of Donald Farquharson and Isobel Stewart.⁴ She died after 1565.²
     Her married name became Farquharson. From circa 1550, her married name became Robertson.¹

     Agnes Gordon is the daughter of Alexander Gordon, 4th of Abergeldie and Janet Irvine.¹ She married Alexander Robertson, 7th of Lude, son of John Robertson, 6th of Lude and Marjory Robertson.¹
     Her married name became Robertson.¹

     John Johnston of Caskieben was the son of George Johnston of that Ilk and Caskieben and Christian Forbes.² He married, firstly, Janet Turing, daughter of unknown Turing of Foveran.¹ He married, secondly, Katherine Lundie, daughter of William Lundie of that Ilk.¹ He died on 4 February 1613/14.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in 1608.¹

     Arthur Johnston was the son of George Johnston of that Ilk and Caskieben and Christian Forbes.² He died in 1641 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹
     He was often ranked next to Buchanan of the Latin poets of Scotland.¹ He was physician to King James I and King CHarles I.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He was Rector of King’s College Aberdeen and Aberdeen University in 1637.¹
