     Mary Emma Penelope Hughes was born in 1810 at Glamorgan, Wales.¹ She was the daughter of Ulysses Hughes.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Phillpotts, son of John Phillpotts and Sarah Chandler, on 8 February 1831 at St. MAtthew’s Church, Brixton, London, England.¹

     Katherine Lundie was the daughter of William Lundie of that Ilk.² She married John Johnston of Caskieben, son of George Johnston of that Ilk and Caskieben and Christian Forbes.¹ She died in 1616.¹
     Her married name became Johnston.

     Thomas Johnston was the son of John Johnston of Caskieben and Katherine Lundie.² He married, firstly, Elspeth Strachan.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Irvine, daughter of Alexander Irvine of Kingcausie.¹ He died in August 1656.¹
     He held the office of Sheriff Depute of Aberdeenshire.¹ He lived at Craig, Scotland.¹

     Elspeth Strachan married Thomas Johnston, son of John Johnston of Caskieben and Katherine Lundie.¹ She died, without male issue.¹
     Her married name became Johnston.

     William Johnston was the son of Thomas Johnston and Mary Irvine.² He married Joanna van Millen.¹ He died in 1716, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Army Officer.¹ He lived at Craig, Scotland.¹

     John Johnston was born in 1649.¹ He was the son of Thomas Johnston and Mary Irvine.² He married Margaret Alexander, daughter of John Alexander, in November 1672.¹ He died in 1716.¹
     He lived at Bishopstown, Scotland.¹

     Margaret Alexander is the daughter of John Alexander.¹ She married John Johnston, son of Thomas Johnston and Mary Irvine, in November 1672.¹
     From November 1672, her married name became Johnston.

     Sir William Johnston of Caskieben, 5th Bt. was born circa 1675.¹ He was the son of John Johnston and Margaret Alexander.² He married Jean Sandilands, daughter of James Sandilands of Craibston, on 8 January 1704.¹ He died on 18 March 1750.¹
     He was admitted to Advocate Aberdeen.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Johnston, of Caskieben [N.S., 1626] in November 1724.¹ In 1725 he was insolvent and his property sold.¹
