     Her married name became Vernon.

     Major Mervyn Sydney Bobus Vernon was born on 8 April 1912.³ He was the son of Rupert Robert Charles Vernon and Dorothy Inez Elinor Thornycroft.³ He married Lady Violet Mary Baring, daughter of Rowland Thomas Baring, 2nd Earl of Cromer and Lady Ruby Florence Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 28 January 1937.³ He died on 5 December 1991 at age 79 at Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England.^3,4

Greville Richard Vernon and Susan Caroline Cockerell.² He married Dorothy Inez Elinor Thornycroft, daughter of George Benjamin Thorneycroft and Blanche Mary Mervyn Archdale, on 18 October 1906.¹ He died on 4 May 1940 at age 67.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the West Australian MI.¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He held the office of Member of Somerset County Council.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.¹ He lived at Bowldown Farm, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England^G.²

     Dorothy Inez Elinor Thornycroft was born circa 1881.¹ She was the daughter of George Benjamin Thorneycroft and Blanche Mary Mervyn Archdale.^2,3 She married Rupert Robert Charles Vernon, son of Hon. Greville Richard Vernon and Susan Caroline Cockerell, on 18 October 1906.¹ She died on 19 February 1965, killed in a car crash.¹

     He was educated at Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.¹ He graduated from St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He gained the rank of Major in the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry.² He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1985.² He lived in 2003 at Shanwell House, Kinross, Kinross-shire, Scotland.²

     Lt.-Col. Sir William Giles Newsom Walker was born on 20 November 1905. He was the son of Harry Giles Walker.² He married Mildred Brenda Nairn, daughter of Sir Michael Nairn of Rankeilour, 2nd Bt. and Mildred Margaret Neish, on 4 November 1930.¹ He died on 26 March 1989 at age 83.¹
