Alan Tindal Lennox-Boyd, 1st Viscount Boyd of Merton1 
He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Mid-Bedfordshire between 1931 and 1960.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1940 in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1941 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1951.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Bedfordshire between 1954 and 1960.2 He was managing director of Arthur Guinness & Sons between 1959 and 1967.2 He was appointed Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1960.2 He was created 1st Viscount Boyd of Merton, of Merton-in-Penninghame, co. Wigtown [U.K.] on 8 September 1960.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cornwall in 1965.2

Philip Sidney, 2nd Baron De L’Isle and Dudley of Penshurst was born on 28 January 1828.1,3 He was the son of Philip Charles Sidney, 1st Baron De L’Isle and Dudley of Penshurst and Lady Sophia Fitz-Clarence.1 He married, firstly, Mary Foulis, daughter of Sir William Foulis of Ingleby, 8th Bt. and Mary Jane Ross, on 23 April 1850.1 He married, secondly, Emily Frances Ramsay, daughter of William Fermor Ramsay, on 25 January 1893.1 He died on 17 February 1898 at age 70.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Horse Guards.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Shelley Sidney, of Penshurst Place, co. Kent [U.K., 1818] on 4 March 1851.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron De L’Isle and Dudley of Penshurst, co. Kent [U.K., 1835] on 4 March 1851.1 He partipicated in an ordinance; Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1
