     Sir John Edwin Lavallin Nugent, 7th Bt. was born on 16 March 1933.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Charles Nugent, 6th Bt. and Margaret Mary Lavallin Puxley.¹ He married Penelope Anne Hanbury, daughter of Brigadier Richard Nigel Hanbury and Anne Mildred Hankey, on 2 April 1959.¹ He died on 9 October 2009 at age 76.²
