Henry Paul Guinness Channon, Baron Kelvedon was born on 9 October 1935.3 He was the son of Sir Henry Channon and Lady Honor Dorothy Mary Guinness. He married Ingrid Olivia Georgia Wyndham, daughter of Major Guy Richard Charles Wyndham and Grethe Wulfsberg, on 7 August 1963.4 He died on 27 January 2007 at age 71.1
Henry Paul Guinness Channon, Baron Kelvedon usually went by his middle name of Paul.5 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant between 1955 and 1956 in the Royal Horse Guards (Blues.)3 He held the office of President of Oxford Union in 1958.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Southend-on-Sea between January 1959 and 1997.3 He was created Baron Kelvedon, of Ongar in the County of Essex [U.K. Life Peer] on 11 June 1997.1
