Sir Charles Tilston Bright1,2 
Sir Charles Tilston Bright was born on 8 June 1832 at Wanstead, Essex, England.4 He was the son of Brailsford Bright and Emma Charlotte Tilston.4 He married Hannah Barrick Taylor, daughter of John Taylor, in 1853.4 He died on 3 May 1888 at age 55 at Abbey Wood, Kent, England.4
He was appointed Knight in 1858.4 He was chief engineer of the Magnetic Telegraph Company in 1860.4 He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.) in 1862.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Greenwich between 1865 and 1868.4 He was president of the SOciety of Telegraph Engineers and Electricians between 1886 and 1887.4

He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 10th Royal Hussars.2 He fought in the Russian Civil War in 1919.2 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Salford between 1931 and 1945.2 He gained the rank of Major in the 5th Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment (TA.)2 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1943.2

He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1887 and 1889 in the 3rd Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment (Militia.)2 He succeeded as the 24th Baron Mowbray [E., 1284] on 18 April 1893.2 He succeeded as the 25th Baron Segrave [E., 1284] on 18 April 1893.2 He succeeded as the 21st Baron Stourton, of Stourton, co. Wilts [E., 1448] on 18 April 1893.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.2 On 27 November 1906 his claim to the Earldom of Norfolk was rejected by the House of Lords.2
