     Robert Waring Darwin was born on 30 May 1766.1 He was the son of Erasmus Darwin and Mary Howard.1,2 He married Susannah Wedgwood, daughter of Josiah Wedgwood and Sarah Wedgwood, on 18 April 1796.1 He died on 13 November 1848 at age 82.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)3 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)3
