Charlotte Mildred Massingberd 
She was given the name of Charlotte Mildred Langton at birth.1 In 1887 her name was legally changed to Charlotte Mildred Massingberd by Royal Licence. From 1900, her married name became Darwin.1

Major Leonard Darwin1 
He was educated in 1868 at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lichfield between 1892 and 1895.2 He wrote the book Bimetalism, published 1897.2 He was President of the Royal Geographical Society between 1908 and 1911.2 He was president of the Eugenics Education Society between 1911 and 1928.2 He wrote the book The Need For Eugenic Reform, published 1926.2 He wrote the book What Is Eugenics?2
