     Frances Anne Violetta Darwin was born in 1783.2 She was the daughter of Erasmus Darwin and Elizabeth Colyear.1,3 She married Samuel Tertius Galton, son of Samuel John Galton and Lucy Barclay, on 30 March 1807.1 She died on 12 February 1874.1
     From 30 March 1807, her married name became Galton.1

     Erasmus Darwin was born on 12 December 1731 at Elston, Sussex, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Robert Darwin and Elizabeth Hill.3,4 He married, firstly, Mary Howard, daughter of Charles Howard and Penelope Foley, in 1757.4 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Colyear, daughter of Charles Colyear, 2nd Earl of Portmore and Elizabeth Collier, in 1781.4 He died on 18 April 1802 at age 70 at Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.2
     He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1

     Sir Francis Galton, 1st Bt. was born on 16 February 1822.1 He was the son of Samuel Tertius Galton and Frances Anne Violetta Darwin.1 He was baptised on 26 March 1822 at St. Martin, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.2 He married Louisa Jane Butler on 1 August 1853 at Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He died on 17 January 1911 at age 88, without issue.1
     He gained the title of 1st Baronet Galton. He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1

     Theodore Howard Galton was born on 2 October 1820.1 He was the son of John Howard Galton and Isabella Strutt.1 He married Frances Amelia Arthur, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Rt. Hon. Sir George Arthur, 1st Bt. and Eliza Ord Ussher Smith, on 23 April 1853.1 He died on 28 February 1881 at age 60.1
