Sidney Charles Herbert, 16th Earl of Pembroke was born on 9 January 1906.1 He was the son of Reginald Herbert, 15th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Beatrice Eleanor Paget.1 He married Lady Mary Dorothea Hope, daughter of John Adrian Louis Hope, 1st Marquess of Linlithgow and Hon. Hersey Alice Eveleigh-de Moleyns, on 27 July 1936.3 He died on 16 March 1969 at age 63.1
