Kerry [I., 1797] on 6 July 1936.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Ventry, of Ventry, co. Kerry [I., 1800] on 6 July 1936.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Air Commodore in 1938 in the No 902 (County of London) Balloon Squadron, Auxiliary Air Force.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Balloon Command and Intelligence.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the King Haakon VII’s Freedom Medal.1
