     Hon. David Alexander Reginald Herbert was born on 3 October 1908.¹ He was the son of Reginald Herbert, 15th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Beatrice Eleanor Paget.¹ He died on 3 April 1995 at age 86 at Tangier, Morocco^G.²

     Henry George Charles Alexander Herbert, 17th Earl of Pembroke was born on 19 May 1939.¹ He was the son of Sidney Charles Herbert, 16th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Mary Dorothea Hope.² He married, firstly, Claire Rose Pelly, daughter of Douglas Gurney Pelly and Monica Tate, on 20 January 1966.¹ He and Claire Rose Pelly were divorced in 1981.¹ He married, secondly, Miranda Juliet Oram, daughter of Lt.-Cdr. John Somerville Kendal Oram and Juliet Hermione Abbey, on 16 April 1988.¹ He died on 7 October 2003 at age 64.¹

     Claire Rose Pelly was born on 18 November 1943.¹ She is the daughter of Douglas Gurney Pelly and Monica Tate.^2,3 She married, firstly, Henry George Charles Alexander Herbert, 17th Earl of Pembroke, son of Sidney Charles Herbert, 16th Earl of Pembroke and Lady Mary Dorothea Hope, on 20 January 1966.³ She and Henry George Charles Alexander Herbert, 17th Earl of Pembroke were divorced in 1981.³ She married, secondly, Stuart Wyndham Murray-Threipland, son of Major Patrick Wyndham Murray-Threipland and Margaret Eleanor McNair Scott, in 1984.⁴
     Her married name became Herbert. After her marriage, Claire Rose Pelly was styled as Countess of Pembroke on 16 March 1969. From 1984, her married name became Murray-Threipland.¹ She lived in 2003 at Dunbeath Castle, Dunbeath, Caithness, Scotland^G.²

     Lady Sophia Elizabeth Herbert was born on 10 December 1966.¹ She is the daughter of Henry George Charles Alexander Herbert, 17th Earl of Pembroke and Claire Rose Pelly.¹ She married Alexander Patrick Murray-Threipland, son of Stuart Wyndham Murray-Threipland and Belinda Mary Musker, in 2001 at Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.²
