     Grizel Ross is the daughter of George Ross, 11th Lord Ross of Halkhead and Lady Grizel Cochrane.² She married Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt., son of Sir John Gilmour of Craigmillar and Margaret Murray.¹

     Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt. and Grizel Ross.² He married Jean Sinclair, daughter of Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. and Christian Cockburn, in 1733.¹ He died on 9 August 1750.¹
     He was a Lord of Trade and Plantation.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Gilmour, of Craigmillar [N.S., 1678] in October 1731.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Edinburgh between 1737 and 1750.¹

     Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir John Sinclair of Longformacus, 2nd Bt. and Jean Towers.² He married Christian Cockburn, daughter of Adam Cockburn, Lord Ormiston and Lady Susanna Hamilton.¹ He died on 28 September 1727.^3,4
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sinclair, of Longformacus, co. Berwick [N.S., 1664] after 1696.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berwickshire [Scotland] between 1703 and 1707.⁵ He sold estate of Lochead.⁴

     Jean Sinclair is the daughter of Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. and Christian Cockburn.^2,1 She married Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt. and Grizel Ross, in 1733.¹

     Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt. and Jean Sinclair.² He died in 1792, unmarried.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gilmour, of Craigmillar [N.S., 1678] on 9 August 1750.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the County of Edinburgh between 1751 and 1774.¹ He gained the rank of Officer in the 1st Guards.¹ He fought in the Seven Years War in 1758 at France^G.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Helen Gilmour was the daughter of Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt. and Grizel Ross.² She married William Little, son of unknown Little, on 3 October 1703 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,3 She died in 1737.¹
     From 3 October 1703, her married name became Little.

     William Little is the son of unknown Little.¹ He married Helen Gilmour, daughter of Sir Alexander Gilmour of Craigmillar, 1st Bt. and Grizel Ross, on 3 October 1703 at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,2
     He lived at Liberton, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹

     Grizel Little is the daughter of William Little and Helen Gilmour.² She married Walter Little, son of Gabriel Ranken and Sophia Clerk, in July 1736.¹
     From July 1736, her married name became Little.

     Gabriel Ranken is the son of unknown Little.¹ He married Sophia Clerk, daughter of Sir John Clerk of Penicuik, 2nd Bt. and Janet Inglis.¹
     He was also known as Gabriel Little.¹

     Walter Little was the son of Gabriel Ranken and Sophia Clerk.^2,1 He married Grizel Little, daughter of William Little and Helen Gilmour, in July 1736.¹ He died in 1758.¹
