Sir Charles Gilmour of Craigmillar, 2nd Bt.1 
He was a Lord of Trade and Plantation.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Gilmour, of Craigmillar [N.S., 1678] in October 1731.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Edinburgh between 1737 and 1750.1

He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Sinclair, of Longformacus, co. Berwick [N.S., 1664] after 1696.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Berwickshire [Scotland] between 1703 and 1707.5 He sold estate of Lochead.4

He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Gilmour, of Craigmillar [N.S., 1678] on 9 August 1750.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the County of Edinburgh between 1751 and 1774.1 He gained the rank of Officer in the 1st Guards.1 He fought in the Seven Years War in 1758 at FranceG.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
