     Sir John Sinclair of Longformacus, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. and Christian Cockburn.1 He married Sidney Johnston, daughter of Robert Johnston of Hilton.2 He died in 1764 at Newton, Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland, without male issue.2,3
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Sinclair, of Longformacus, co. Berwick [N.S., 1664] on 28 September 1727.2

     Sir Henry Sinclair of Longformacus, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Robert Sinclair of Longformacus, 3rd Bt. and Christian Cockburn.1 He died on 25 June 1768 at Leith, East Lothian, Scotland, without issue.2,3
     He inherited under special entail the estate of Carlowrie, co. Linlithgow from Henry Sinclair.3 He sold Carlowrie in 1745.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Sinclair, of Longformacus, co. Berwick [N.S., 1664] in 1764.2
