     Sir Archibald Murray of Blackbarony, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir John Murray of Blackbarony and Margaret Hamilton.² He married Margaret Maule before 1617.² He died circa 1634.²
     He was appointed Knight.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peeblesshire in 1617.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peeblesshire in 1625.² He was created 1st Baronet Murray, of Blackbarony, co. Peebles [Nova Scotia] on 15 May 1628, with special remainder to heirs male whatsoever.²

     Bethia Murray was the daughter of Sir Archibald Murray of Blackbarony, 1st Bt. and Margaret Maule.² She married, firstly, Sir William Forbes of Craigievar, 1st Bt., son of William Forbes of Menie and Craigievar and Margaret Udward, circa 1636.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Alexander Forbes of Tolquhone after 1648.² She died after 1648.³
     From circa 1636, her married name became Forbes.

     Susan Mary Elizabeth Greaves was born on 11 March 1924.¹ She was the daughter of Major George Methuen Greaves and Hon. Frances Alice Mary Fitzalan-Howard.¹ She died on 24 December 2007 at age 83.¹

     Peter Young of Auldbar married Isobel Ochterlony of Wester Seton.² He died after 1670.²
     He purchased part of Auldbar in 1670.²

     Margaret Young was the daughter of Peter Young of Auldbar and Isobel Ochterlony of Wester Seton.^2,3 She married Sir John Forbes of Craigievar, 2nd Bt., son of Sir William Forbes of Craigievar, 1st Bt. and Bethia Murray, circa 1659.¹ She died after 1683.³
     From circa 1659, her married name became Forbes.

     Sir William Forbes of Craigievar, 3rd Bt. was born in 1660.¹ He was the son of Sir John Forbes of Craigievar, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Young.² He married Margaret Rose, daughter of Hugh Rose, 14th of Kilravock and Margaret Innes, on 16 October 1684.¹ He died circa 1730.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Forbes, of Craigievar [N.S., 1630] in 1703.¹
