     Sir John Innes of Balvenie and Edingight, 9th Bt. was born on 23 June 1757.2 He was the son of John Innes, 8th of Edingight and Elizabeth Grant.3 He married Barbara Forbes, daughter of George Forbes, 4th of Boyndlie and Christian Ker, on 6 August 1796.2 He died on 23 March 1829 at age 71 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, ScotlandG.2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Banffshire.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Innes, of Balvenie [N.S., 1628] on 13 March 1817.1
