     Field Marshal Sir John Michel was born on 1 September 1804.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. John Michel.² He died on 24 May 1886 at age 81.²
     He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He lived at Dewlish House, Dorset, England^G.²

     Lt.-Col. Michael Eric Dillon, 20th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin was born on 30 August 1911.¹ He was the son of Brigadier Eric FitzGerald Dillon, 19th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Nora Juanita Muriel Beckett.¹ He married Irène Marie France Merandon du Plessis, daughter of René Merandon du Plessis, on 4 December 1939.¹ He died on 30 November 1979 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1935 and 1937 in the Transjordan Frontier Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He succeeded as the 20th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, co. Mayo [I., 1622] on 6 April 1946.¹ He was awarded the Knight, Sovereign Military Order of Malta.¹ He was awarded the Officer, Order of Orange of Nassau of the Netherlands with swords.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Horse Guards.¹

     Irène Marie France Merandon du Plessis was the daughter of René Merandon du Plessis.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Michael Eric Dillon, 20th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, son of Brigadier Eric FitzGerald Dillon, 19th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Nora Juanita Muriel Beckett, on 4 December 1939.¹ She died on 22 April 2008.²
     Her married name became Dillon. After her marriage, Irène Marie France Merandon du Plessis was styled as Viscountess Dillon of Costello-Gallin on 6 April 1946. She lived in 2003 at The Grange, Manor Road, Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     René Merandon du Plessis is the son of Nicholas Emile Merandon du Plessis.²
     He lived at Whitehall, Mauritius.¹

     Charles Henry Robert Dillon, 21st Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin was born on 18 January 1945.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Michael Eric Dillon, 20th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Irène Marie France Merandon du Plessis.¹ He married Mary Jane Young, daughter of John Young, on 13 May 1972.¹ He died on 15 September 1982 at age 37.¹
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Furniture School, Royal College of Arts, London, England^G.¹ He was a designer.¹ He succeeded as the 21st Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin, co. Mayo [I., 1622] on 30 November 1979.¹

     Hon. Richard Arthur Louis Dillon was born on 23 October 1948.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Michael Eric Dillon, 20th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Irène Marie France Merandon du Plessis.¹ He married Hon. Priscilla Frances Hazlerigg, daughter of Arthur Grey Hazlerigg, 2nd Baron Hazlerigg and Patricia Pullar, on 24 May 1975.¹ He died on 9 October 2014 at age 65.²
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers (F.S.V.A.)¹

     Hon. Isabel Anne Marie Henrietta Dillon was born on 6 September 1942.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Michael Eric Dillon, 20th Viscount Dillon of Costello-Gallin and Irène Marie France Merandon du Plessis.¹ She married Richard Alexander Charles Cobbe, son of Francis Charles Cobbe and Joan Mervyn Cobbe, on 25 July 1970.¹
     From 25 July 1970, her married name became Cobbe.² She lived in 2003 at The Manor House, Yattenden, Newbury, Berkshire, England^G.¹
