     Elizabeth Colyear was born illegitimately in 1747.1 She was the daughter of Charles Colyear, 2nd Earl of Portmore and Elizabeth Collier.1,2 She married, firstly, Colonel Edward Sacheverell Chandos-Pole.1 She married, secondly, Erasmus Darwin, son of Robert Darwin and Elizabeth Hill, in 1781.1 She died in 1832.1
     Her married name became Chandos-Pole.1 From 1781, her married name became Darwin.1

     Sir Francis Sacheverel Darwin was born on 17 June 1796.1 He was the son of Erasmus Darwin and Elizabeth Colyear.1 He married Jane Harriet Ryle, daughter of John Ryle, on 16 December 1815 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1 He died on 6 November 1859 at age 63 at Shardlow, Derbyshire, England.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He lived at Breadsall Priory, Derbyshire, England.2

     Harriet Darwin was born in 1790.1 She was the daughter of Erasmus Darwin and Elizabeth Colyear.1 She married Admiral Thomas James Maling, son of Christopher Thompson Maling, on 2 December 1811 at Breadsall, Derbyshire, England.1 She died in 1825 at Valparaiso, Chile, without issue.1
     From 2 December 1811, her married name became Maling.1

     Admiral Thomas James Maling was born on 15 July 1778.1 He was the son of Christopher Thompson Maling.1 He married, firstly, Harriet Darwin, daughter of Erasmus Darwin and Elizabeth Colyear, on 2 December 1811 at Breadsall, Derbyshire, England.1 He married, secondly, Jemima Bromley on 29 July 1828 at Abberley, Worcestershire, England.1 He died in 1849.1
     He was commissioned in 1791, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1797.1 He gained the rank of Commander in 1798.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1800.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1830.1
