Sir John Parnell, 2nd Bt.1 
He held the office of Commissioner of Revenue [Ireland] in 1780.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Parnell, of Rathleague, Queen’s Co. [I., 1766] on 14 April 1782.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Queen’s County [Ireland] between 1783 and 1801.3 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1787.3 He held the office of Chancellor of the Exchequer.3 He held the office of a Lord of Treasury in 1793.3
