From 6 July 1926, her married name became Prior-Palmer. From 5 July 1937, her married name became Agar. After her marriage, Hon. Barbara Mary Frankland was styled as Countess of Normanton on 5 July 1937. From 4 February 1943, her married name became Lucas. In 1958 her name was legally changed to Frankland by Deed Poll.3

Brigadier Sir Otho Leslie Prior-Palmer1 
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He was commissioned in 1916, in the service of the 9th Lancers.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was commander of the 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry between 1940 and 1942.2 He was commander of the 29th Armoured Brigade between 1942 and 1943.2 He was commander of the 30th Armoured Brigade between March 1942 and August 1942.2 He was commander of the 7th Armoured Brigade between 1943 and 1945.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Sussex, Worthing Division between 1945 and 1950.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worthing between 1950 and 1964.2 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1959.2

Beard.1 She married Shaun James Christian Welbore Ellis Agar, 6th Earl of Normanton, son of Edward John Sidney Christian Welbore Ellis Agar, 5th Earl of Normanton and Lady Fiona Pratt, on 29 April 1970.1 She and Shaun James Christian Welbore Ellis Agar, 6th Earl of Normanton were divorced in 2000.1
From 29 April 1970, her married name became Agar. After her marriage, Victoria Susan Beard was styled as Countess of Normanton on 29 April 1970.
