     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Durham University, Durham, County Durham, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He lived in 1999 at Old Grist, Coombe, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     P/O Ian Hugh Acland was born on 17 October 1914.¹ He was the son of Captain John Bevil Acland and Marjorie Guernsey.¹ He died on 18 March 1941 at age 26, killed on duty.¹
     He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.

     Ione Vivienne Acland was born on 23 December 1915.¹ She is the daughter of Captain John Bevil Acland and Marjorie Guernsey.¹ She married Charles Clement Guthrie, son of Alexander Guthrie and Mary Anne Fairbairn, on 19 September 1936.¹
     Her married name became Guthrie. She was the Headmistress in 1959 at Strathcona Lodge School.¹ She lived in 1999 at 161 Acland Road, Ganges, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹

     Thomas Dyke Acland was born on 3 July 1846.¹ He was the son of Reverend Peter Leopold Dyke Acland and Julia Barker.¹ He married Flora Margaret Watt, daughter of Robert Watt, on 10 October 1874.¹ He died in 1892.
     He lived at Christchurch, New Zealand^G.¹

     Flora Margaret Watt was the daughter of Robert Watt.¹ She married Thomas Dyke Acland, son of Reverend Peter Leopold Dyke Acland and Julia Barker, on 10 October 1874.¹ She died in 1885.
     Her married name became Acland.

     Robert Watt lived at Christchurch, New Zealand^G.

     Commander Benjamin Dyke Acland was born on 18 August 1847.¹ He was the son of Reverend Peter Leopold Dyke Acland and Julia Barker.¹ He married Clare Emily Cay, daughter of Edward Cay, on 8 December 1881.¹ He died on 7 July 1909 at age 61.¹

     Reverend Henry Dyke Acland was born on 4 March 1850.¹ He was the son of Reverend Peter Leopold Dyke Acland and Julia Barker.¹ He married Adelaide Clementina Hart Davis, daughter of Richard Vaughan Davis, on 22 January 1878.¹ He died on 8 January 1903 at age 52.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Rector at Luccombe, Somerset, England^G.
