     Alexander Guthrie was born in 1846.² He was the son of Reverend Thomas Guthrie and Anne Burns.² He married, secondly, Mary Anne Fairbairn, daughter of Reverend Patrick Fairbairn and Mary Playfair.² He married, firstly, Mary Anne Martin Swanson.² He died in 1934.²
