Gilbert Theophilus Clifton Clifton-Hastings-Campbell, 3rd Baron Donington1 
He was given the name of Gilbert Theophilus Clifton Abney-Hastings at birth.1 On 2 January 1896 his name was legally changed to Gilbert Theophilus Clifton Clifton-Hastings-Campbell by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Sherwood Foresters.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Donington, of Donington Park, co. Leicester [U.K., 1880] on 17 May 1920.1 On his death, his barony became extinct.1

He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire.2 He retired from the military in 1881, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the 8th Lancashire Rifle Volunteers.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Rotherhithe between 1885 and 1892.2 He was created 1st Baronet Hamilton, of Cadogan Square [U.K.] on 21 November 1892.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire in 1906.2
