     Rear-Admiral Edward Leopold Dyke Acland was born on 7 December 1878.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Dyke Acland and Adelaide Clementina Hart Davis.¹ He married Phyllis Mary Whipple, daughter of Connell Whipple, on 12 October 1910.¹ He died on 11 March 1968 at age 89.¹
     He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England^G.¹ He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1917.¹ He was commander of the Royal Navy Engineering College, Keyham between 1930 and 1933.¹ He gained the rank of Engineer-Rear-Admiral in the Royal Navy.¹ He held the office of Naval Attache to HM King George V in 1933.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1937.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Home Guard.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset in 1942.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset in 1952.¹

     Phyllis Mary Whipple was the daughter of Connell Whipple.¹ She married Rear-Admiral Edward Leopold Dyke Acland, son of Reverend Henry Dyke Acland and Adelaide Clementina Hart Davis, on 12 October 1910.¹ She died on 25 September 1973.¹
     Her married name became Acland.

     Peter Connell Dyke Acland was born on 24 September 1920.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Edward Leopold Dyke Acland and Phyllis Mary Whipple.¹ He died on 7 October 1920.¹

     Adria Margaret Acland was born on 17 January 1914.¹ She is the daughter of Rear-Admiral Edward Leopold Dyke Acland and Phyllis Mary Whipple.¹ She married, firstly, Arthur Francis Procter, son of Sir Henry Edward Edleston Procter, on 16 January 1935.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. James Hawke Dennis in 1971.¹
     Her married name became Procter. From 1971, her married name became Dennis.¹ She lived in 1999 at 37 Church Street, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Arthur Francis Procter was the son of Sir Henry Edward Edleston Procter.¹ He married Adria Margaret Acland, daughter of Rear-Admiral Edward Leopold Dyke Acland and Phyllis Mary Whipple, on 16 January 1935.¹ He died in 1970.¹
     He lived at Eastwick Manor, Essex, England^G.¹

     Sir Henry Edward Edleston Procter was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹

     Captain John Henry Dyke Acland was born on 24 June 1880.¹ He was the son of Reverend Henry Dyke Acland and Adelaide Clementina Hart Davis.¹ He married Elizabeth Margaret Corner, daughter of Charles Corner, on 4 November 1914.¹ He died on 12 July 1916 at age 36, killed in action.¹
     He was admitted to Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.P.)¹ He was admitted to Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.)¹ He fought in the First World War. He was attached to the Somerset Light Infantry.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹
