     Mary Clara Montolieu was born on 3 July 1751.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Louis Charles Montolieu, Baron de St. Hypolite and Elizabeth Leheup.1 She married Alexander Murray, 7th Lord Elibank, son of Reverend Hon. Gideon Murray and Elizabeth Montolieu, on 20 May 1776.2 She died on 19 January 1802 at age 50.2
     Her married name became Murray.

     Lt.-Col. Louis Charles Montolieu, Baron de St. Hypolite was baptised on 18 May 1719 at St. Martin Orgars.2 He was the son of General David Montolieu, Baron de St. Hypolite and Marie Molinier.2 He married Elizabeth Leheup, daughter of Peter Leheup and Clara Lowndes, on 26 July 1750.2
     He gained the title of Baron de St. Hypolite. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 2nd Troop, Horse Guards.2

     Alexander Murray, 8th Lord Elibank was born on 26 February 1780.1 He was the son of Alexander Murray, 7th Lord Elibank and Mary Clara Montolieu.2 He married Janet Oliphant, daughter of John Oliphant, on 8 March 1803. He died on 9 April 1830 at age 50.1
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Coldstream Guards.1 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Elibank [S., 1643] on 24 September 1820.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Murray, of Etrick Forest, co. Selkirk [N.S., 1628] on 24 September 1820.1

Montolieu Fox Oliphant Murray, 1st Viscount Elibank1

     Montolieu Fox Oliphant Murray, 1st Viscount Elibank was born on 27 April 1840 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1,2 He was the son of Alexander Oliphant Murray, 9th Lord Elibank and Emily Maria Montgomery.3 He was baptised on 18 June 1840 at Eddlestone, Peebles-shire, ScotlandG.2 He married Blanche Alice Scott, daughter of Dr. Edward John Scott and Helen Robertson, on 2 May 1868.1 He died on 20 February 1927 at age 86.1
     He fought in the China Expedition in 1860.1 He was commander of the a naval detachment for the suppression of a negro rising at Morant Bay, Jamaica in 1865.4 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 10th Lord Elibank, of Etrick Forest, co. Selkirk [S., 1643] on 31 May 1871.4 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Murray, of Etrick Forest, co. Selkirk [N.S., 1628] on 31 May 1871.4 He held the office of Lord Lieutenant of Peebles-shire between 1896 and 1908.4 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Peebles-shire.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Selkirkshire.4 He was created 1st Viscount Elibank, of Elibank, co. Selkirk [U.K.] on 3 July 1911.1

     Blanche Alice Scott was born on 5 February 1845 at Portland Lodge, Southsea, Hampshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Dr. Edward John Scott and Helen Robertson.1,2 She married Montolieu Fox Oliphant Murray, 1st Viscount Elibank, son of Alexander Oliphant Murray, 9th Lord Elibank and Emily Maria Montgomery, on 2 May 1868.3 She died on 22 October 1936 at age 91.
     Her married name became Murray. After her marriage, Blanche Alice Scott was styled as Viscountess Elibank on 3 July 1911.

     Dr. Edward John Scott was born on 1 September 1812.2 He was the son of James Scott and Sophia Button.2 He was baptised on 10 April 1814 at St. Mary’s, Portsea, Hampshire, England.2 He married Helen Robertson, daughter of Daniel Robertson and Amelia Helen Clarke, on 2 September 1838 at Titchfield, Hampshire, England.2 He died on 4 May 1857 at age 44 at Southsea, Hampshire, England.2
     He lived at Portland Lodge, Southsea, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.) on 11 March 1857.2
