     Reginald Basil Astley was born on 8 January 1862.² He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis L’Estrange Astley and Rosalind Alicia Frankland.^1,2 He married, firstly, Caroline Douglas Stewart, daughter of Captain James Affleck Stewart, on 27 January 1913.³ He married, secondly, Kathleen Mary Vigors, daughter of Thomas Mercer Cliffe Vigors, on 8 October 1931.¹ He died on 6 October 1942 at age 80.¹

     Charlotte Micklethwait was baptised on 28 January 1816 at St. Mary’s, Sprowston, Norfolk, England.² She was the daughter of Nathaniel Micklethwait and Lady Charlotte Marianne Harriet Rous.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Francis L’Estrange Astley, son of Sir Jacob Henry Astley, 5th Bt. and Hester Browne, on 28 July 1836.¹ She died on 29 July 1848 at age 32.¹
     Her married name became Astley.

     Lt.-Col. Hon. John Craven Westenra was born on 31 March 1798.¹ He was the son of Warner William Westenra, 1st/2nd Baron Rossmore of Monaghan and Mary Ann Walsh.¹ He married, firstly, Eleanor Mary Jolliffe, daughter of William Jolliffe and Eleanor Hylton, on 31 March 1834.² He married, secondly, Anne Daubuz, daughter of Louis Charles Daubuz, on 23 July 1842.¹ He died on 5 December 1874 at age 76.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Fusiliers Guards.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of King’s County in 1863.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for King’s County in 1863.¹ He lived at Sharavogue, County Offaly, Ireland^G.¹

     Thomas Hutton lived at Birdswood, Ashley Park, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings was born on 13 November 1797 at Burgh Hall, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He was baptised on 13 November 1797 at Melton Constable, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir Jacob Henry Astley, 5th Bt. and Hester Browne.¹ He married Georgiana Caroline Dashwood, daughter of Sir Henry Watkin Dashwood, 3rd Bt. and Mary Helen Graham, on 22 March 1819 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ He died on 27 December 1859 at age 62.²
     He matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 18 February 1817.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co. Warwick [E., 1660] on 28 April 1817.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 14 June 1817.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk from 1821 to 1822.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Norfolk between 1832 and 1837.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Lord Hastings [E., 1295] on 18 May 1841, after the termination of its abeyance by writ.²

     Georgiana Caroline Dashwood was born on 16 March 1796.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Henry Watkin Dashwood, 3rd Bt. and Mary Helen Graham.¹ She married Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings, son of Sir Jacob Henry Astley, 5th Bt. and Hester Browne, on 22 March 1819 at St. George’s Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.¹ She died on 28 June 1835 at age 39.²
     Her married name became Astley. She and Thomas Garth were associated circa 1835.³

     Sir Henry Watkin Dashwood, 3rd Bt. was born on 30 August 1745 at Kirtlington, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Sir James Dashwood, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Spencer.² He married Mary Helen Graham, daughter of John Graham and Helen Mayne, on 17 July 1780.³ He died on 10 June 1828 at age 82 at Kirtlington, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)³ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Dashwood, of Northbrook, Oxfordshire [E., 1684] on 10 November 1779.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)³

     Sir Jacob Henry Delaval Astley, 17th Lord Hastings was born on 21 May 1822.¹ He was the son of Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings and Georgiana Caroline Dashwood.¹ He married Frances Cosham, daughter of T. Cosham, on 19 May 1860.¹ He died on 8 March 1871 at age 48.¹
     He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1848 in the 2nd Life Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Lord Hastings [E., 1295] on 27 December 1859.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co. Warwick [E., 1660] on 27 December 1859.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the Norfolk Militia.¹

     Frances Cosham was the daughter of T. Cosham.¹ She married, firstly, Sir Jacob Henry Delaval Astley, 17th Lord Hastings, son of Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings and Georgiana Caroline Dashwood, on 19 May 1860.¹ She married, secondly, Robert Heane in 1873.¹ She died on 30 December 1884, without issue.¹
     From 19 May 1860, her married name became Astley. From 1873, her married name became Heane.
