Lady Caroline Ponsonby1 
Lady Caroline Ponsonby was the daughter of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough and Lady Henrietta Frances Spencer.1 She married William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne, son of Peniston Lamb, 1st Viscount Melbourne and Elizabeth Milbanke, in 1805.1 She died in 1828.1
Her married name became Lamb.

William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne was born on 15 March 1779. He was the son of Peniston Lamb, 1st Viscount Melbourne and Elizabeth Milbanke. He married Lady Caroline Ponsonby, daughter of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough and Lady Henrietta Frances Spencer, in 1805.3 He died on 24 November 1848 at age 69.
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Melbourne [U.K., 1815] on 22 July 1828. He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Melbourne [I., 1781] on 22 July 1828. He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Lamb, of Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire [G.B., 1755] on 22 July 1828. He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Melbourne [I., 1770] on 22 July 1828.
