     Harriet Powys is the daughter of Thomas Jelf Powys. She married John Preston, 1st and last Baron Tara, son of John Preston and Mary Smyth.
     Her married name became Preston.

     Ellis Smyth is the daughter of James Smyth and Mary Agar. She married Francis Mathew, 1st Earl of Landaff, son of Thomas Mathew and Mary Mathews.
     Her married name became Mathew.

     Lt.-Gen. Hon. Montague James Mathew was born on 18 August 1773.¹ He was the son of Francis Mathew, 1st Earl of Landaff and Ellis Smyth.¹ He died on 20 March 1819 at age 45.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Ireland] between 1797 and 1798.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tipperary between 1806 and 1819.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1813.¹

     Francis James Mathew, 2nd Earl Landaff was born on 2 January 1768.¹ He was the son of Francis Mathew, 1st Earl of Landaff and Ellis Smyth.¹ He married Gertrude Cecilia La Touche, daughter of John La Touche and Gertrude Fitzgerald, on 10 July 1797.¹ He died on 12 March 1833 at age 65.¹
     He was educated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Ireland] between 1790 and 1792.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Ireland] between 1796 and 1800.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Tipperary between 1801 and 1806.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel between 1805 and 1811 in the 99th Foot.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Earl Landaff [I., 1797] on 30 July 1806. He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) on 8 September 1831.¹ On his death his titles became extinct.

     Gertrude Cecilia La Touche is the daughter of John La Touche and Gertrude Fitzgerald.¹ She married Francis James Mathew, 2nd Earl Landaff, son of Francis Mathew, 1st Earl of Landaff and Ellis Smyth, on 10 July 1797.¹
     From 10 July 1797, her married name became Mathew.¹

     John La Touche was born circa 1732.¹ He married Gertrude Fitzgerald, daughter of Robert Uniacke-Fitzgerald, on 9 December 1763.¹ He died in 1810.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Kildare from 1801 to 1802.¹

     Gertrude Fitzgerald is the daughter of Robert Uniacke-Fitzgerald.¹ She married John La Touche on 9 December 1763.¹
     From 9 December 1763, her married name became La Touche.¹

     James Smyth is the son of William Smyth and Mary Dowdall.

     Alice Ludlow is the daughter of Peter Ludlow and Mary Preston. She married John Preston, son of John Preston.
     Her married name became Preston.

     D’Orville Pilkington Jackson is the son of Ethel Katie D’Orville Smith.¹
