     Arthur Saunders Gore was born on 6 December 1848.¹ He was the son of Venerable John Ribton Gore and Frances Brabazon Ellard.¹ He married, firstly, Frances Elizabeth Fraser, daughter of William Fraser, on 26 September 1878.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Baldwin, daughter of James Baldwin, on 23 November 1881.¹ He died on 24 January 1901 at age 52.¹

     Frances Elizabeth Fraser was the daughter of William Fraser.¹ She married Arthur Saunders Gore, son of Venerable John Ribton Gore and Frances Brabazon Ellard, on 26 September 1878.¹ She died in 1879, without issue.¹
     From 26 September 1878, her married name became Gore.¹

     William Fraser lived at Madras, India^G.¹

     Elizabeth Baldwin was the daughter of James Baldwin.¹ She married Arthur Saunders Gore, son of Venerable John Ribton Gore and Frances Brabazon Ellard, on 23 November 1881.¹ She died on 17 August 1950.¹
     From 23 November 1881, her married name became Gore.¹

     Lt.-Col. Ribton Gore was born on 12 March 1852.¹ He was the son of Venerable John Ribton Gore and Frances Brabazon Ellard.¹ He married Ada Sophia Dendy, daughter of Robert Dendy, on 24 November 1881.¹ He died on 28 September 1924 at age 72.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Reserve Officers.¹

     Arthur Henry Baldwin Gore was born on 26 December 1883.¹ He was the son of Arthur Saunders Gore and Elizabeth Baldwin.¹ He married Margaret Jane Browne, daughter of John Douglas Browne, on 14 October 1913.¹ He died on 24 September 1953 at age 69.¹

     Lt.-Col. Hon. James Frederick Arthur Smith was born on 27 January 1906.² He was the son of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore.³ He died on 24 September 1980 at age 74 at London, England.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.² He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the General List.² He was Assistant Military Secretary to Commander 2nd Army between 1944 and 1945.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1945.² He was director of W. H. Smith & Son (Hldgs) and W. H. Smith & Son Ltd.²

     Lt.-Col. Hon. David John Smith was born on 20 May 1907.¹ He was the son of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore.² He married Lady Helen Pleydell-Bouverie, daughter of Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie, 6th Earl of Radnor and Julian Eleanor Adelaide Balfour, on 22 July 1931.¹ He died on 25 November 1976 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery (TA.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire in 1946.¹ He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire between 1959 and 1976.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1964.¹ He was director of W. H. Smith & Son (Hldgs) Ltd in 1972.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) in 1973.¹

     Hon. Edith Mabell Emily Smith was born on 20 July 1901.¹ She was the daughter of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore.² She died on 8 June 1973 at age 71, unmarried.¹
     Hon. Edith Mabell Emily Smith also went by the nick-name of Dede.¹

     Hon. Margaret Esther Lucie Smith was born on 1 August 1908.¹ She was the daughter of William Frederick Danvers Smith, 2nd Viscount Hambleden and Lady Esther Georgiana Caroline Gore.² She married Major John Granville Morrison, 1st Baron Margadale, son of Hugh Morrison and Lady Sophia Castelia Mary Leveson-Gower, on 16 October 1928.¹ She died in 1980.¹
     Her married name became Morrison. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire in 1943.¹ After her marriage, Hon. Margaret Esther Lucie Smith was styled as Baroness Margadale on 1 January 1965.
