Ardill, on 1 August 1970.¹ He and Caroline Ardill were divorced in 1992.¹ He married, secondly, Dr. Clare Stephenson in 1992. He married Samantha Usborne in 1998.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Cwm Gwengad, Aberyscir, Brecon, Powys, Wales^G.¹

     Esther Joanna Smith was born on 16 May 1934.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. David John Smith and Lady Helen Pleydell-Bouverie.² She died on 31 December 1992 at age 58, unmarried.¹

     Helen Sarah Smith was born on 9 July 1969.¹ She is the daughter of Antony Frederick Smith and Alison Priscilla Pyper.²

     Scilla Ann Bennett is the daughter of Peter Bennett.² She married Peter Henry Smith, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. David John Smith and Lady Helen Pleydell-Bouverie, on 1 April 1967.¹
     From 1 April 1967, her married name became Smith. She was chairman of W. H. Smith between 1977 and 1982.¹

     Charles Henry Smith was born on 5 November 1968.¹ He is the son of Peter Henry Smith and Scilla Ann Bennett.² He married Amanda Smith, daughter of Geoffrey Smith, on 20 July 1997.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 34 Dorville Crescent, London, England^G.¹

     Clare Scilla Smith was born on 12 July 1971.¹ She is the daughter of Peter Henry Smith and Scilla Ann Bennett.²

     Dr. Clare Stephenson married David Michael Smith, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. David John Smith and Lady Helen Pleydell-Bouverie, in 1992.
     From 1992, her married name became Smith.

     Rachel Charlotte Smith was born in 1973.¹ She is the daughter of David Michael Smith and Caroline Ardill.²
