John Oglivy Arbuthnott, 14th Viscount Arbuthnott1 
John Oglivy Arbuthnott, 14th Viscount Arbuthnott was born on 15 September 1882.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Walter Charles Warner Arbuthnott, 13th Viscount Arbuthnott and Emma Marion Hall Parlby.1 He married Dorothy Oxley, daughter of Admiral Charles Lister Oxley, on 6 June 1914.1 He died on 17 October 1960 at age 78, without issue.1
He gained the rank of officer in February 1917 in the Calgary Light Horse, Canadian Army.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Welsh Guards.3 He succeeded as the 14th Viscount of Arbuthnott, of co. Kincardine [S., 1641] on 9 August 1920.1 He succeeded as the 14th Lord Inverbervie, of co. Kincardine [S., 1641] on 9 August 1920.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire.3 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1944 and 1955.3
