Peerage Record – 1640

     Lieutenant Hon. George O’Brien Wyndham was born on 17 November 1868.¹ He was the son of Henry Wyndham, 2nd Baron Leconfield of Leconfield and Lady Constance Evelyn Primrose.² He died on 13 January 1895 at age 26, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Catherine Gordon was born in 1644.² She was the daughter of Robert Gordon, 6th of Pitlurg.¹ She married by contract, firstly, Robert Arbuthnott, 2nd Viscount of Arbuthnott, son of Robert Arbuthnott, 1st Viscount of Arbuthnott and Lady Marjory Carnegie, on 30 July 1667.¹ She married by contract, secondly, Sir David Carnegie, 1st Bt., son of Hon. Sir Alexander Carnegie and Margaret Arbuthnott, on 29 October 1684.¹ She died in October 1692.¹ She was also reported to have died on 23 April 1693.³ She was buried on 4 November 1692.⁴
     From 30 July 1667, her married name became Arbuthnott.¹ After her marriage, Catherine Gordon was styled as Viscountess of Arbuthnott after 30 July 1667. From 29 October 1684, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     Augustus Lechmere Coore was born in 1847.¹ He was the son of Henry Foster Coore and Augusta Caroline Milbank.¹

     Ann Stuart was the daughter of James Stuart and Mary Crauford.^2,1 She married David Ogilvy, Earl of Airlie, son of John Ogilvy, Earl of Airlie and Margaret Ogilvy, in 1770.² She died on 27 December 1798 at Airlie Lodge, Angus, Scotland^G, without issue.³
     Her married name became Ogilvy.

     Sir David Carnegie, 1st Bt. was the son of Hon. Sir Alexander Carnegie and Margaret Arbuthnott.² He married by contract, firstly, Catherine Primrose, daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington and Elizabeth Keith, on 29 October 1663.³ He married by contract, secondly, Catherine Gordon, daughter of Robert Gordon, 6th of Pitlurg, on 29 October 1684.¹ He married, thirdly, Jean Burnett, daughter of James Burnett, circa 1696.^2,3 He died in November 1708.⁴
     He was created 1st Baronet Carnegie, of Pittarrow, co. Kincardine [Nova Scotia] on 20 February 1662/63.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kincardineshire [Scotland] in 1667.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kincardineshire [Scotland] between 1669 and 1674.²
     He had seven other sons and eight daughters (six of these children by his third wife.)²

     Margaret Bruce was the daughter of William Bruce.¹ She married David Ogilvy, 8th Earl of Airlie, son of Walter Ogilvy, Earl of Airlie and Jean Ogilvy, on 15 November 1838 at 6 Heriot Row, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ She died on 17 June 1845 at Brighton, Sussex, England^G, in childbirth.¹
     After her marriage, Margaret Bruce was styled as Countess of Airlie on 15 November 1838. From 15 November 1838, her married name became Ogilvy.

     Magdalen Jane Ruth Ducas was born on 2 June 1938.² She was the daughter of Robert Ducas and Magdalen Mary Charlotte Stourton.^1,2 She married Hon. James Donald Diarmid Ogilvy, son of David Lyulph Gore Wolseley Ogilvy, 11th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke, on 2 July 1959.¹ She and Hon. James Donald Diarmid Ogilvy were divorced in 1980.^1,3 She died on 3 November 2001 at age 63 at London Clinic, London, England^G.³
     Magdalen Jane Ruth Ducas usually went by her middle name of Jane.³ Her married name became Ogilvy.

     Lady Victoria Jean Marjorie Mabell Ogilvy was born on 21 September 1918.¹ She was the daughter of David Lyulph Gore Wolseley Ogilvy, 11th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke.¹ She married Alexander David Frederick Lloyd, 2nd Baron Lloyd, son of George Ambrose Lloyd, 1st Baron Lloyd and Hon. Blanche Isabella Lascelles, on 24 January 1942.¹ She died on 23 September 2004 at age 86.²
     She was also known as Jean.¹ From 24 January 1942, her married name became Lloyd. After her marriage, Lady Victoria Jean Marjorie Mabell Ogilvy was styled as Baroness Lloyd on 24 January 1942. She lived in 1999 at Clouds Hill, Offley, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Margaret Helen Isla Marion Ogilvy was born on 23 July 1920.¹ She was the daughter of David Lyulph Gore Wolseley Ogilvy, 11th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke.¹ She married Captain Sir Iain Mark Tennant, son of Lt.-Col. John Edward Tennant and Georgina Helen Kirkpatrick, on 11 July 1946.¹ She died on 22 January 2014 at age 93.²
     Her married name became Tennant. She lived in 1999 at Lochnabo House, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Lady Griselda Davinia Roberta Ogilvy was born on 12 June 1924.¹ She was the daughter of David Lyulph Gore Wolseley Ogilvy, 11th Earl of Airlie and Lady Alexandra Marie Bridget Coke.¹ She married Major Peter Edward Gerald Balfour, son of Brigadier Edward William Sturgis Balfour, 9th of Balbirnie and Lady Ruth Balfour, on 6 November 1948.¹ She and Major Peter Edward Gerald Balfour were divorced in 1968.¹ She died on 8 June 1977 at age 52.¹
     Her married name became Balfour.
