     Margaret Primrose was the daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington and Elizabeth Keith.¹ She married Sir John Foulis of Ravelston, 1st Bt., son of George Foulis and Jean Sinclair, on 5 September 1661.¹ She died on 15 April 1690.¹
     From 5 September 1661, her married name became Foulis.¹

     Sir John Foulis of Ravelston, 1st Bt. was born on 20 February 1638.¹ He was the son of George Foulis and Jean Sinclair.² He married, firstly, Margaret Primrose, daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington and Elizabeth Keith, on 5 September 1661.² He married, secondly, Agnes Dundas, daughter of Walter Dundas of Dundas and Lady Christian Leslie, on 28 August 1690.² He married, thirdly, Mary Murray, daughter of John Murray of Polmaise, on 29 March 1697.¹ He married, fourthly, Agnes Scot on 7 September 1705.¹ He died on 5 August 1707 at age 69.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Foulis, of Ravelston [Nova Scotia] on 15 October 1661.¹ He purchased Woodhall, Juniper Green in 1701.¹

     Agnes Gray was the daughter of Sir William Gray of Pittendrum.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Archibald Primrose, Lord Carrington, son of James Primrose and Catherine Lawson.¹ She married, firstly, Sir James Dundas of Newliston.¹ She died circa 12 December 1699.¹ She was buried on 15 December 1699.¹
     Her married name became Dundas.¹ Her married name became Primrose.¹

     George Primrose of Ravelston, younger was born on 10 May 1667.¹ He was the son of Sir John Foulis of Ravelston, 1st Bt. and Margaret Primrose.¹ He married Janet Cuninghame, daughter of Sir John Cuninghame, 8th of Caprington, 1st Bt. and Margaret Murray, on 3 April 1691.¹ He died in 1707.¹
     He was given the name of George Foulis at birth.¹

     Janet Cuninghame was the daughter of Sir John Cuninghame, 8th of Caprington, 1st Bt. and Margaret Murray.^1,2 She married George Primrose of Ravelston, younger, son of Sir John Foulis of Ravelston, 1st Bt. and Margaret Primrose, on 3 April 1691.¹ She died on 29 December 1758.¹
     From 3 April 1691, her married name became Primrose.¹

     Sir John Cuninghame, 8th of Caprington, 1st Bt. was the son of John Cuninghame of Brownhill and Elizabeth Sinclair.² He married Margaret Murray, daughter of John Murray of Touchadam and Polmaise and Janet Nisbet.² He died circa 26 November 1684.² He was buried on 29 November 1684.²
     He was a practising Advocate.² He purchased Lambrughton after 1663.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire [Scotland] in 1665.² He sold Brownhill in 1667.² He was created 1st Baronet Cuninghame, of Caprington, co. Ayr [Nova Scotia] on 19 September 1669.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ayrshire [Scotland] in 1681.² He purchased Caprington in 1683.²
