She gained the title of Countess of Airlie on 19 January 1886. From 19 January 1886, her married name became Ogilvy. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)2 She was appointed Dame Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1920.2 She was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) by St. Andrew’s University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG.2 She was an authoress.3 She held the office of Lady of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Mary.2 She was appointed Dame Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1953.2

Edmund James Burke Roche, 5th Baron Fermoy was born on 20 March 1939.2 He was the son of Edmund Maurice Burke Roche, 4th Baron Fermoy and Ruth Sylvia Gill.3 He married Lavinia Frances Elizabeth Pitman, daughter of Major John Pitman and Elizabeth Cattanach Donaldson, on 22 June 1964.4 He died on 19 August 1984 at age 45, by his own hand.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Fermoy, of co. Cork [U.K., 1856] on 8 July 1955.3 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Horse Guards.2 He held the office of Member of the Newbury District Council between 1976 and 1979.2 He was chairman of Eddington Bindery Ltd.2
