     Helen Elizabeth Ward was born on 28 December 1907.1 She was the daughter of Captain Hon. Cyril Augustus Ward and Baroness Irene Blanche Nicolette van Brienen.1 She married Edward Henry Charles James Fox-Strangways, 7th Earl of Ilchester, son of Giles Stephen Holland Fox-Strangways, 6th Earl of Ilchester and Lady Helen Mary Theresa Vane-Tempest-Stewart, on 27 April 1931.1 She died on 8 November 1970 at age 62.1
     Helen Elizabeth Ward also went by the nick-name of Nell.2 Her married name became Fox-Strangways. After her marriage, Helen Elizabeth Ward was styled as Countess of Ilchester on 29 October 1959.

     Nicolette Joan Ward was born on 28 December 1907.1 She was the daughter of Captain Hon. Cyril Augustus Ward and Baroness Irene Blanche Nicolette van Brienen.1 She married Michael Charles St. John Hornby, son of Charles Harry St. John Hornby and Cicely Rachel Emily Barclay, on 15 November 1928.1 She died in 1988.1
     Her married name became Hornby. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire in 1942.1

     Frances Pauline Einhorn was born in 1946 at Marylebone, London, EnglandG.2,3 She was the daughter of S/Ldr. Mathieu Donald Einhorn and Ellen-Ruth Berglas.1,4 She married, firstly, Robert John Christopher Barwick-Ward, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Roderick John Ward and Valerie Maud Skelton, on 2 March 1968.1 She and Robert John Christopher Barwick-Ward were divorced in 1974.1 She married, secondly, Dr. Keith Hampson, son of Bertie Hampson and Mary Elizabeth Noble, on 29 May 1975 at Caxton Hall Register Office, London, EnglandG.4 She died on 11 September 1975, as the result of an accident.4
     She was educated at Gateways School, Harewood, Yorkshire, EnglandG.2 She was educated at Westonbirt, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 She was a fashion model circa 1966.2 Her married name became Barwick-Ward. From 29 May 1975, her married name became Hampson.4

     Vere Fane, 4th Earl of Westmorland was born on 13 February 1644 at Lamport Hall, Lamport, Northamptonshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Mildmay Fane, 2nd Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Mary de Vere.1 He married Rachel Bence, daughter of John Bence and Judith Andrews, on 13 July 1671 at Allhallows’, London Wall, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 29 December 1693 at age 49.2
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 23 April 1661.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peterborough between 1671 and 1679.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent between 1679 and 1681.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent between 1689 and 1691.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Dover Castle.1 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 22 September 1691.1 He succeeded as the 7th Lord le Despenser [E., 1314] on 22 September 1691.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 22 September 1691.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kent from 1692 to 1693, jointly.1

     Rachel Bence was the daughter of John Bence and Judith Andrews.1,2 She married Vere Fane, 4th Earl of Westmorland, son of Mildmay Fane, 2nd Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Mary de Vere, on 13 July 1671 at Allhallows’, London Wall, London, EnglandG.2 She died on 17 February 1710/11.3
     From 13 July 1671, her married name became Fane. After her marriage, Rachel Bence was styled as Countess of Westmorland on 22 September 1691.

     Thomas Fane, 6th Earl of Westmorland was born on 3 October 1681.1 He was the son of Vere Fane, 4th Earl of Westmorland and Rachel Bence.1 He married Catherine Stringer, daughter of Thomas Stringer, in June 1707.1 He died on 4 June 1736 at age 54, without issue.2
     He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 19 May 1698.1 He succeeded as the 9th Lord le Despenser [E., 1314] on 19 May 1698.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 19 May 1698.1 He was Gentleman of the Bedchamber to Queen Anne’s husband, Prince George of Denmark on 25 April 1704.1 He was Deputy Warden of the Cinque Ports between 1705 and 1708.1 He held the office of Deputy Governor of Dover Castle.1 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber to King George I in 1715.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 16 April 1717.1 He held the office of First Lord of Trade and Foreign Plantations between 1719 and 1735.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire in 1735.1

     Vere Fane, 5th Earl of Westmorland was born on 25 May 1678.1 He was the son of Vere Fane, 4th Earl of Westmorland and Rachel Bence.1 He died on 19 May 1698 at age 19, unmarried.2
     He succeeded as the 8th Lord le Despenser [E., 1314] on 29 September 1693.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 29 September 1693.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 29 September 1693.1 He gained the rank of Cornet in the 1st Life Guards.1

She was the daughter of William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham and Hester Grenville, Baroness Chatham.1 She married Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl Stanhope, son of Philip Stanhope, 2nd Earl Stanhope and Grizel Hamilton, on 19 December 1774.2 She died on 20 July 1780 at age 24.1
     Her married name became Stanhope.

Catherine Lucy Smith, daughter of Robert Smith, 1st Baron Carrington of Upton and Anne Boldero-Barnard, on 19 November 1803.2 He died on 2 March 1855 at age 73.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Earl Stanhope [G.B., 1718] on 15 December 1816.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Stanhope of Elvaston, co. Derby [G.B., 1717] on 15 December 1816.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Stanhope of Mahon, in the island of Minorca [G.B., 1717] on 15 December 1816.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1
