John Campbell, 1st Baron Campbell of St. Andrews1 
John Campbell, 1st Baron Campbell of St. Andrews was born on 15 September 1779 at Sprinfield, Cupar, Fife, ScotlandG.3 He was the son of Rev. Dr. George Campbell and Magdalene Hallyburton.3 He married Mary Elizabeth Scarlett, Baroness Stratheden of Cupar, daughter of James Scarlett, 1st Baron Abinger and Louise Henrietta Campbell, on 8 September 1821 at Abinger, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He died on 24 June 1861 at age 81 at Stratheden House, Knightsbridge, London, EnglandG, suddenly, from a burst blood vessel.4 He was buried at Jedburgh Abbey, Roxburghshire, ScotlandG.4 His will was proven (by probate) on 25 July 1861, at under £120,000.4
