     Hallyburton George Campbell, 3rd Baron Stratheden of Cupar and Campbell of St. Andrews was born on 18 October 1829.² He was the son of John Campbell, 1st Baron Campbell of St. Andrews and Mary Elizabeth Scarlett, Baroness Stratheden of Cupar.² He married Louisa Mary Beresford-Hope, daughter of Sir Alexander James Beresford Beresford-Hope and Lady Mildred Arabella Charlotte Gascoyne-Cecil, on 24 August 1865 at Kilndown, Gouldhurst, Kent, England^G.² He died on 26 December 1918 at age 89 at Bruton Street, Westminster, London, England^G.²
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 40th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Stratheden of Cupar, co. Fife [U.K., 1836] on 21 January 1893.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Campbell of St. Andrews, co. Fife [U.K., 1841] on 21 January 1893.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Galway.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Roxburghshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Roxburghshire.¹

     Louisa Mary Beresford-Hope was born in 1843.² She was the daughter of Sir Alexander James Beresford Beresford-Hope and Lady Mildred Arabella Charlotte Gascoyne-Cecil.³ She married Hallyburton George Campbell, 3rd Baron Stratheden of Cupar and Campbell of St. Andrews, son of John Campbell, 1st Baron Campbell of St. Andrews and Mary Elizabeth Scarlett, Baroness Stratheden of Cupar, on 24 August 1865 at Kilndown, Gouldhurst, Kent, England^G.² She died on 20 June 1923.^2,3
     From 24 August 1865, her married name became Campbell.² She succeeded as the Baroness Campbell of St. Andrews on 21 September 1893.

     Elizabeth Sinclair is the daughter of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Leslie.² She married Sir William Sinclair of Dunbeath, son of Alexander Sinclair of Latheron and Jean Cunningham, in 1656.² She died in 1722.²
     From 1656, her married name became Sinclair.

     Sir William Sinclair of Dunbeath was the son of Alexander Sinclair of Latheron and Jean Cunningham.² He married Elizabeth Sinclair, daughter of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Leslie, in 1656.² He died in 1690.²
     He lived at Latheron, Caithness, Scotland^G.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Caithness between 1661 and 1663.² He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court in 1672.²

     Captain Hon. John Beresford Campbell was born on 20 June 1866.^2,3 He was the son of Hallyburton George Campbell, 3rd Baron Stratheden of Cupar and Campbell of St. Andrews and Louisa Mary Beresford-Hope.² He married Hon. Alice Susan Hamilton, daughter of John Glencairn Carter Hamilton, 1st Baron Hamilton of Dalzell and Lady Emily Eleanor Leslie-Melville, on 15 January 1895.¹ He died on 25 January 1915 at age 48, killed in action.^2,3
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Galway.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Galway.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Roxburghshire.³ He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Battalion, Coldstream Guards.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Roxburghshire.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Galway in 1907.³ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)³ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915, and was mentioned in despatches.³

     Christian Mowat is the daughter of Magnus Mowat of Balquholile.² She married Sir John Sinclair of Dunbeath, son of George Sinclair of Mey and Margaret Forbes, before 31 July 1634.^1,3
     From before 31 July 1634, her married name became Sinclair.
