     John Shirley married Anne Parker, daughter of Sir Thomas Parker, before 1667.¹ He died before 1667.¹

     At Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, a Burgess.¹ Sir Robert Barr, 1st and last Bt. was created 1st Baronet Barr, of Glasgow [Nova Scotia] on 29 September 1628.¹ No further particulars are known about Robert.¹

     Sir Stanley George Hooker is the son of William Henry Hooker.² He married Hon. Margaret Bradbury, daughter of John Swanwick Bradbury, 1st Baron Bradbury and Hilda Maude Kirby, on 16 October 1937.² He and Hon. Margaret Bradbury were divorced in 1950.²

     From 16 October 1937, her married name became Hooker.¹

     John Swanwick Bradbury, 1st Baron Bradbury was born on 23 September 1872 at Winsford, Cheshire, England^G.² He was the son of John Bradbury and Sarah Cross.² He married Hilda Maude Kirby, daughter of William Arthur Kirby and Alice Susanna King, on 9 March 1911 at St. Clement Danes Church, The Strand, London, England^G. He died on 3 May 1950 at age 77.³

     Susannah Margaret Barran was born on 22 April 1981.¹ She is the daughter of Sir John Napoleon Ruthven Barran, 4th Bt. and Jane Margaret Hooker.¹

     John Barran was born on 25 December 1844.¹ He was the son of Sir John Barran, 1st Bt. and Ann Hirst.¹ He married Eliza Henrietta Nicholson, daughter of Edward Nicholson, on 22 June 1870.¹ He died on 19 February 1886 at age 41.¹
     He lived at Chapel Allerton, Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹

     Sir John Barran, 1st Bt. was born on 3 August 1821.¹ He was the son of John Barran and Elizabeth Fletcher.¹ He married, firstly, Ann Hirst, daughter of M. Hirst, on 22 December 1842.¹ He married, secondly, Eliza Brown, daughter of William Brown, on 10 January 1878.¹ He died on 3 May 1905 at age 83.¹
     He held the office of Mayor of Leeds between 1870 and 1871.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Leeds between 1876 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
