     Beatrice Stanley Muller was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Friedrich Max Muller.² She married Sir Thomas Colyer Colyer-Fergusson, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Ranken Fergusson, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ann Somes Colyer, on 30 January 1890.¹ She died on 17 June 1902.¹
     From 30 January 1890, her married name became Colyer-Fergusson.¹

     Rt. Hon. Friedrich Max Muller was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)¹ He was a Professor.¹

     Mary Freda Cohen was born on 26 December 1871.² She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Arthur Cohen and Emmeline Micholls.² She married Sir Thomas Colyer Colyer-Fergusson, 3rd Bt., son of Sir James Ranken Fergusson, 2nd Bt. and Mary Ann Somes Colyer, on 28 July 1914.¹ She died on 11 November 1964 at age 92.¹
     From 28 July 1914, her married name became Colyer-Fergusson.¹

     Rt. Hon. Arthur Cohen was born on 18 November 1830 at London, England.^2,3 He was the son of Benjamin Cohen and Justina Montefiore.² He married Emmeline Micholls, daughter of Henry Micholls and Frederica Behrens, on 23 August 1860 at Manchester, Lancashire, England.^2,3 He died on 3 November 1914 at age 83.²
     He was educated at University College London, London, England.² He held the office of President of Cambridge Union in 1852.² He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)² He was HMG’s Counsel to Alabama and Venezuela Arbitrations.² He was Standing Counsel to Cambridge University in 1879.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Southwark between 1880 and 1887.² He was member of the Royal Commissions on Unseaworthy Ships and Trade Unions.² He was chairman of the Royal Commission on Shipping Rings.² He was Counsel to the Secretary of State of India in 1893.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1905.² He held the office of Judge of the Cinque Ports before 1914.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.³
     

     Jane Margaret Hooker was born on 22 February 1940.² She is the daughter of Sir Stanley George Hooker and Hon. Margaret Bradbury.¹ She married Sir John Napoleon Ruthven Barran, 4th Bt., son of Commander Sir John Leighton Barran, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Alison Mary Hore-Ruthven, on 7 September 1965.¹
     From 7 September 1965, her married name became Barran.¹

     Sir John Ruthven Barran, 5th Bt. was born on 10 November 1971.¹ He is the son of Sir John Napoleon Ruthven Barran, 4th Bt. and Jane Margaret Hooker.¹ He married Helen Elizabeth Ward on 12 September 2005.²
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Barran, of Chapel Allerton Hall, Chapel Allerton, West Riding, co. York and Queen’s Gate, St. Mary Abbots, Kensington, co. London [U.K., 1895] on 25 March 2010.³

     Zara Eileen Pollok was born on 20 January 1879.² She was the daughter of John Pollok.¹ She married Alexander Gore Arkwright Hore-Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie, son of Walter James Hore-Ruthven, 9th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Caroline Annesley Gore, on 1 June 1908.¹ She died on 19 July 1965 at age 86.³
     Her married name became Hore-Ruthven. After her marriage, Zara Eileen Pollok was styled as Baroness Gowrie on 20 December 1935. After her marriage, Zara Eileen Pollok was styled as Countess of Gowrie on 8 May 1945.

     John Pollok held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Lismay, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹

     Major Hon. Alexander Hardinge Patrick Hore-Ruthven was born on 30 August 1913.¹ He was the son of Alexander Gore Arkwright Hore-Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Zara Eileen Pollok.¹ He married Pamela Margaret Fletcher, daughter of Reverend Arthur Henry Fletcher, on 5 January 1939.¹ He died on 24 December 1942 at age 29 at Italian Hospital, North Africa, from wounds received leading a Commando raid in Tripoli.¹
     Major Hon. Alexander Hardinge Patrick Hore-Ruthven usually went by his middle name of Patrick.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1942.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the Rifle Brigade, attached to the Special Air Service.¹

     Pamela Margaret Fletcher was born on 24 October 1910 at Chelsea, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of Reverend Arthur Henry Fletcher.¹ She married, firstly, Major Hon. Alexander Hardinge Patrick Hore-Ruthven, son of Alexander Gore Arkwright Hore-Ruthven, 1st Earl of Gowrie and Zara Eileen Pollok, on 5 January 1939.¹ She married, secondly, Major George Derek Cooper, son of Captain George Stanley Cooper, on 30 July 1952.¹ She died on 13 July 2006 at age 95 at Amesbury Abbey, Amesbury, Wiltshire, England^G.²
     From 5 January 1939, her married name became Hore-Ruthven. She held the office of Extra Women of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother between 1948 and 1951.¹ From 30 July 1952, her married name became Cooper.
