     Colin Adair Barran was born on 6 June 1893.¹ He was the son of Charles Barran and Louisa Annie McNab.¹ He married Christine Ida Leslie Houghton, daughter of Francis Gassiot Houghton, on 17 July 1913.¹ He died on 13 October 1964 at age 71, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 52nd Light Infantry.¹

     Christine Ida Leslie Houghton is the daughter of Francis Gassiot Houghton.¹ She married Colin Adair Barran, son of Charles Barran and Louisa Annie McNab, on 17 July 1913.¹
     From 17 July 1913, her married name became Barran.¹

     Muriel Louise Barran was the daughter of Charles Barran and Louisa Annie McNab.¹ She married John Hamilton Cumming on 6 March 1913.¹ She died on 16 April 1952.¹
     From 6 March 1913, her married name became Cumming.¹

     John Hamilton Cumming married Muriel Louise Barran, daughter of Charles Barran and Louisa Annie McNab, on 6 March 1913.¹ He died on 18 November 1936.¹

     Alfred Barran was born on 29 June 1851.¹ He was the son of Sir John Barran, 1st Bt. and Ann Hirst.¹ He married, firstly, Lily Maria Scattergood, daughter of Thomas Scattergood, on 8 August 1883.¹ He married Anne Mabel Wharton, daughter of Captain Thomas Candler Wharton, on 6 April 1904.¹ He died on 12 October 1927 at age 76.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.¹ He lived at Giggleswick, Settle, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Lily Maria Scattergood was the daughter of Thomas Scattergood.¹ She married Alfred Barran, son of Sir John Barran, 1st Bt. and Ann Hirst, on 8 August 1883.¹ She died in May 1885.¹
     From 8 August 1883, her married name became Barran.¹

     Thomas Scattergood was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.)¹
