     He was given the name of Alexander Bannerman at birth.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ On 16 April 1777 his name was legally changed to Alexander Burnett.¹ He was Professor of Medicine at University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ On 1 October 1796 his name was legally changed to Alexander Bannerman.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 1 October 1796.¹ He lived at Kirkhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Mary Gordon was the daughter of James Gordon, 1st of Banchory and Mary Buchan.¹ She married Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt., son of Alexander Bannerman and Margaret Burnett, in 1768.¹
     From 1768, her married name became Bannerman.¹

     A/Cdre. Alastair Dyon Panton was born on 2 November 1916.¹ He married Eileen Isobel Christian Lumley, daughter of Charles Chester Lumley and Ella Marian Lamond Young, in 1939 at Aldershot, Hampshire, England.¹ He died on 29 December 2002 at age 86 at Keighley, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Elizabeth Gray was born circa 1541 at Smewens Grange, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ She married Edward Staunton, son of John Staunton, circa 1567.¹
     From circa 1567, her married name became Staunton.¹

     Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 7th Bt. was born on 19 December 1769.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon.¹ He married Rachel Irvine, daughter of John Irvine and Margaret Chambers, on 15 November 1800.² He died on 31 May 1840 at age 70 at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G, without issue.³ His will was proven (by probate) in December 1840.³
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 29 December 1813.³ He lived at Kirkhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.³

     Rachel Irvine was born on 29 January 1779.² She was the daughter of John Irvine and Margaret Chambers.^2,3 She married Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 7th Bt., son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon, on 15 November 1800.³ She died on 13 November 1847 at age 68, without issue.¹
     From 15 November 1800, her married name became Bannerman.²

     John Irvine was born circa 1722.² He was the son of Thomas Irvine, 1st of Auchmunziel.² He married Margaret Chambers, daughter of unknown Chambers of Auldbar.² He died on 23 February 1795.²
     He was a merchant at Göteborg, Sweden^G.¹ He lived at Auchmunziel, Scotland^G.³

     Sir Charles Bannerman of Elsick, 8th Bt. was born on 18 August 1782.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Bannerman of Elsick, 6th Bt. and Mary Gordon.¹ He married Anne Bannerman, daughter of Charles Bannerman and Margaret Wilson, on 14 August 1821.¹ He died on 18 June 1851 at age 68.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in August 1851.¹
     He was a manufacturer at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Bannerman, of Elsick, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1682] on 31 May 1840.¹ He lived at Kirkhill, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹ He lived at Crimmonmogate, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹
