He held the office of Receiver of the Crown [Scotland].1 He lived in 1614 at Lochend, East Lothian, ScotlandG, which he purchased for 1700 marks.1

He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Crawfurd, of Kilbirnie, co. Ayr [N.S., 1628] on 19 July 1765, assuming this baronetcy after being declared heir of the 1st Baronet.1 He lived at Jordanhill, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.1

Sir John Colquhoun of Luss, 2nd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [N.S., 1625] circa 1650.1 In 1652 he acquired Balloch from the Duke of Lennox and acquired Lochend by marriage.3 In 1676 he sold the estate of Lochend, Haddington.1

Sir John Baird, Lord Newbyth1 
He was admitted to an Advocate in June 1647.1 In 1660 he is said to have been created a baronet on the restoration, but this is doubtful.1 He held the office of Lord Justiciary in 1661.1 He held the office of Lyon Depute on 15 August 1663.1 He was styled as Lord Newbyth [Scottish Law Lord] in 1664.1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] from 1664 to 1681.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aberdeenshire [Scotland] from 1665 to 1667.1 He sold the estate of Byth, Aberdeenshire, and bought properties in Haddington and Edinburgh, which became the barony of Newbyth.1 He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] from 1689 to 1698.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2
