     Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 5th Bt. was born in 1843 at Pollok Castle, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of Sir Hew Crawfurd-Pollok, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Oswald Dunlop.1 He married Annie Elizabeth Green on 8 June 1871.1 He died on 14 December 1885 at Dover, Kent, EnglandG, in a hotel coffee room, suddenly, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Renfrew Militia.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Crawfurd, of Kilbirnie, co. Ayr [N.S., 1628] on 5 March 1867.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
