     Mary Caroline Greathed was born in 1864.2 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Wilberforce Harris Greathed and Alice Clive.3,4 She married Charles John Darling, 1st Baron Darling, son of Charles Darling and Sarah Frances Tizard, on 16 September 1885.3 She died on 5 November 1913.3
     From 16 September 1885, her married name became Darling.3

Maj.-Gen. William Wilberforce Harris Greathed1

     Maj.-Gen. William Wilberforce Harris Greathed was born on 21 December 1826 at Paris, France.2 He was the son of Edward Greathed and Mary Elizabeth Glyn.2 He was baptised on 6 February 1827 at British Embassy Chapel, Paris, France.2 He married Alice Clive, daughter of Reverend Archer Clive and Caroline Meysey-Wigley, on 22 October 1863.3 He died on 29 December 1878 at age 52.3 He was buried on 4 January 1879 at Hampreston, Dorset, England.2
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.3

Hon. Charles Spencer Bateman-Hanbury-Kincaid-Lennox1

     Hon. Charles Spencer Bateman-Hanbury-Kincaid-Lennox was born in 1827.2 He was the son of William Bateman-Hanbury, 1st Baron Bateman of Shobdon and Elizabeth Chichester.1 He married Margaret Cunningham Kincaid Lennox, daughter of John Lennox Kincaid Lennox of Woodhead and Kincaid.3 He married Rosa Cuninghame, daughter of Boyd Alexander Cuninghame and Mary Wilkinson, on 19 August 1893 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.4 He died on 22 March 1912 at Marylebone, London, England, without issue.1,4
     He was given the name of Charles Spencer Bateman-Hanbury at birth.1 In 1862 his name was legally changed to Charles Spencer Bateman-Hanbury-Kincaid-Lennox by Royal Licence.1
