     Hervey Greathed was born on 17 July 1867.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. William Wilberforce Harris Greathed and Alice Clive.¹ He married, firstly, Mary Alice Sharp Rogerson, daughter of John Rogerson and Sarah Ann Barrass, on 2 September 1897 at Wolsingham, County Durham, England.¹ He married, secondly, Violet Constance Bertha Gilliat, daughter of John Saunders Gilliat and Louisa Ann Fanny Babington, on 20 October 1903 at Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, England.¹ He died on 25 September 1906 at age 39.¹

     Emily Sarah Greathed was born in 1820 at France.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Greathed and Mary Elizabeth Glyn.¹ She died on 8 April 1868 at Uddens House, Wimbourne, Dorset, England, unmarried.¹

     Louisa Frances Archer married General Sir Edward Harris Greathed, son of Edward Greathed and Mary Elizabeth Glyn, on 8 March 1854 at Allahabad, India.¹ She died on 16 October 1857 at Simla, India.¹
     From 8 March 1854, her married name became Greathed.¹

     Ellen Mary Tuffnell was born in 1831 at Wormingford, Essex, England.¹ She was the daughter of Reverend George Tuffnell.¹ She married General Sir Edward Harris Greathed, son of Edward Greathed and Mary Elizabeth Glyn, on 19 December 1860 at St. Mary Magdalene, St. Leonards on Sea, Sussex, England.¹ She died on 10 February 1863 at Whalley Range, Lancashire, England.¹
     From 19 December 1860, her married name became Greathed.¹
