Ferdinand Maria Kurfürst von Bayern was born in 1636. He was the son of Maximilian I Kurfürst von Bayern and Maria Anna Erzherzogin von Österreich.2 He married Adelaide Enrichetta di Savoia, Principessa di Savoia, daughter of Vittorio Amadeo I, Duca di Savoia and Marie Christine de Bourbon, Princesse de France, in 1652.2 He died in 1679.3
He was a member of the House of Wittelsbach.4 He succeeded as the Kurfürst von Bayern in 1651.4

Adelaide Enrichetta di Savoia, Principessa di Savoia was born on 6 November 1636 at Turin, ItalyG. She was the daughter of Vittorio Amadeo I, Duca di Savoia and Marie Christine de Bourbon, Princesse de France.2,3 She married Ferdinand Maria Kurfürst von Bayern, son of Maximilian I Kurfürst von Bayern and Maria Anna Erzherzogin von Österreich, in 1652.2 She died on 18 March 1676 at age 39.
She gained the title of Principessa Adelaide di Savoia.

He died on 20 January 1745 at age 47.
He succeeded as the Kurfürst von Bayern in 1726.1 He succeeded as the Emperor Charles VII of the Holy Roman Empire in 1742.4

He was buried at São Vicente de Fora, Lisbon, PortugalG.3
He was given the name of João Maria José Francisco Xavier de Paula Luis António Domingos Rafael at birth.3 He gained the title of Principe João de Brasil between 1788 and 1816.3 He held the office of Regent of Portugal on 10 February 1792.3 He gained the title of Rei João IV de Brasil on 16 December 1815.5,3 He succeeded as the Rei João VI de Portugal in 1818.5
